RS400 Class Association Winter Training

We will be hosting two RS400 Class Association Northern Open Winter Training Weekends at Yorkshire Dales Sailing Club on 30th Nov- 1 Dec 2024 and  1st -2nd March 2025.
Coaching will be provided by renowned top RS400 sailors Ollie Groves and Esther Parkhurst. This is a great opportunity to get specialist coaching from sailors at the very top of their game. The training is open to Yorkshire Dales Sailing Club members and to sailors from other clubs in the local region. Bookings close at 11pm on the Sunday before each weekend.
10 boats maximum per weekend, places will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. Each weekend to be booked separately (you can attend just one weekend, or both). Cost £70 per boat per weekend.
At least one participant per boat needs to be a member of the RS Class Association or take out one-event membership. Website: www.rs400.org

Race Development Training

These sessions  will run form 10am – 4pm and are aimed at those who have already attended the improver sessions and are now independent and reasonably competent sailors ready to move onto racing. The sessions are for both youth and adult sailors and the sessions will be led by highly experienced Race Coach Ian Escritt and his team. Those attending are encouraged to attend all sessions as regularly as possible to make full benefit of the progressive tuition. COSTS
Tuition at these training sessions is free to members, although we ask for a voluntary contribution when booking of £10 per person per session towards the cost of fuel for the safety boats and upkeep of training boats and equipment. If you are using a club boat rather than your own please add this when booking which adds £5. By this stage we recommend that you should try to have a boat of your own. Please bear in mind that none of the coordinators, instructors or helpers receive any financial return for their voluntary efforts.
